About Siham Djebbar

Siham Djebbar is a self-taught ceramic artist who has been passionately working with clay since 2021.

Now based in Paris, she mostly creates in shared studios, where her unique vision comes to life in organic, sculptural forms.

Having lived across several countries—from Algeria and France to China and the United States—her work is deeply influenced by her diverse cultural experiences and travels, shaping her artistic perspective and approach.

Her multicultural background further broadened her horizons, inspiring her to explore new moods and forms

Siham specializes in hand-built pieces, embracing ancient techniques such as coiling, pinching, and plaque. This method allows her to mold complex, intricate shapes that reflect a deep connection to the clay's malleability.

Her work is created in series, each collection driven by a search for form and movement. Guided by intuition rather than structured drawings, she lets the creative process flow naturally, allowing her inner experiences to take shape in the material.

With years spent in the fields of interior design, Djebbar made the conscious decision to dedicate herself to creating objects that add soul to people's interiors—pieces that resonate with the spaces they inhabit.

Each piece she crafts is one-of-a-kind, a testament to her commitment to slow, mindful creation.

Using mostly stoneware and earthenware—often incorporating grog for added texture—Siham's works are both tactile and expressive, speaking to the connection between hand, material, and the spaces they are meant to enrich.

Her inspiration flows from her surroundings, travels, and an innate sense of curiosity about what can be achieved through clay. Through her art, Siham offers more than just objects; she shares a reflection of her journey, her intuition, and the beauty of organic imperfection.
